ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Antonio Padilla Paez: 16 years of clinical experience in service of clearer communication.

Antonio Padilla Paez created Antela DosVoces. He is a registered pharmacist with an active professional license in the United States, bilingual English-Spanish communication, and 16 years of experience in clinical settings.

THE PURPOSE

Why Antela DosVoces was created

Instructions can be accurate and still be difficult to understand when a family lives across two languages. Small print, abbreviations, cultural differences, and rushed encounters can leave important questions unresolved.

Antela DosVoces was created to present existing information in an organized, bilingual, shareable format. The goal is to keep the original instruction visible and reduce confusion without replacing a pharmacist, physician, or other licensed professional.

CLINICAL-PHARMACY BACKGROUND

Clinical experience focused on safe decisions and individualized care

During his professional practice in inpatient and outpatient settings, Antonio has collaborated with patients and providers on complex clinical decisions, always as part of the care team and within the scope of his professional license.

  • Reviewing documented medication allergies and assessing kidney and liver function to alert providers to medication-related risks and recommend dose adjustments based on the patient’s clinical condition and underlying medical conditions.
  • Reviewing therapy to recommend potentially more appropriate alternatives within the same medication class and communicating relevant clinical considerations to the provider.
  • Evaluating polypharmacy and multiple drug interactions—including cases involving three, four, or more interactions—to identify risks, establish priorities, and advise the provider.
  • Providing individualized counseling about specific medications: their purpose, prescribed dose, how and when to take them, treatment duration, precautions, adverse effects, and signs that require contacting the provider.
  • Reviewing interactions between the medication being discussed and the patient’s other prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, or supplements, with guidance to reduce risks and communicate important findings to the provider.
  • Educating patients about over-the-counter medications, eating habits, and the correct use of blood-pressure and blood-glucose monitors.
  • Providing hospital-discharge counseling for outpatient medications that require specific administration instructions, monitoring, or precautions.
  • Performing clinical calculations and conversions among pain medications, insulins, corticosteroids, and other therapies requiring careful equivalency and dose adjustment.

HOW THE WORK IS GUIDED

Founder commitments

01

Clarity before complexity

Present information in words and formats families can review together.

02

Confirmation before interpretation

Preserve the original source and identify when an instruction requires confirmation by a licensed professional.

03

Privacy by design

Request only necessary information and keep medical information out of public forms and ordinary email.

04

Access across languages

Build useful resources for Spanish-speaking families in the United States and people living or traveling between countries.

Professional scope

Antela DosVoces is an independent, nonclinical organization, translation, and communication service. It does not diagnose, prescribe, recommend medication, change doses, or provide individualized pharmacist counseling. General website use does not establish a patient-professional relationship with the founder. Clinical decisions must be confirmed with the appropriate prescriber, pharmacist, or other licensed professional.
